Pembina Place MPCH COVID 19 Outbreak- Update August 13, 2024

COVID UPDATE PEMBINA PLACE MPCH

Dear Residents and Families:
There are now 8 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our Residents on third floor east.
We also have one confirmed positive case on third floor south. We are also awaiting test results for 1 other symptomatic Resident on third floor east and one on second floor.
To mitigate the further transmission between Residents, we must place all units into isolation requiring Residents to remain on their units. We have made an exception for Residents that are not presenting with symptoms or are not COVID 19 positive. They may leave the unit with family to visit outside. We do ask that if leaving the unit please go directly outside and do not to linger outside the units.
All group recreation activities will be cancelled until outbreak has resolved.
We encourage all family and other visitors to wear a mask during their entire visit, sanitize their hands before and after visiting and not come for a visit if feeling ill. If visiting Residents who are COVID 19 positive you will be required to wear the protective equipment before entering room. Please report to nurse prior to entering room.
This latest outbreak reinforces the importance of staying up to date with vaccinations.
Should you have any questions please contact either Monique Liarakos RCM at 204-478-7968 or Karen Revak RCC at 204-478-7964
Thank you for your continued support and please keep our Residents and Staff in your thoughts and prayers.
