Respiratory Virus Outbreak BETHANIA MPCH
Dear Residents and Families:
We are experiencing the presence of an unknown respiratory virus on the Centre Station wings. As of today, there are 5 cases on 300 Wing and 5 cases on 400 Wing. To mitigate the spread of the virus, we have placed 300 and 400 Wings on full isolation. Residents on these units will receive their meals on the unit and cannot leave the unit unless family would like to take them outside from these units. We ask that the resident wear a mask while being transported through the building to the outside.
The outbreak status will be reviewed on Monday, September 28th, 2026, to determine when the isolation protocols can be lifted.
Please note that all suspected residents have tested negative for COVID, Influenza B & A and RSV, and so the respiratory virus is unknown, and the residents will be closely monitored.
We ask for people visiting those Residents on isolation in their rooms to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other prevention measures while visiting their loved one in the room. Please see a nurse for directions on how to put on and remove the PPE. We also highly recommend that all visitors use a mask and practice hand hygiene when on Centre Station.
Further, we ask all visitors to not visit if feeling ill.
