On Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, our personal care homes celebrated 14 residents who are 100+ years old, or will be 100 in 2026. These residents were joined by their families who provided moving tributes to their loved ones and all they have lived through and witnessed in their century (or more) of life. Everyone enjoyed a meal curated by our Director of Food & Support Services, Delroy Clarke. The food highlighted various times in the last 100 years, such as devilled eggs, beef stroganoff and pineapple upside down cake.
A feature board had everyone’s photos and their sage advice for the youngsters on how to make a life well lived. We are honoured to be able to celebrate with each resident and their families. This event was possible through the hard work of our Therapeutic Recreation team, our Chaplains and Jessica Chommany, Acting Director of Therapeutic Recreation, Volunteer Services and Spiritual Wellness.
