Dear Family Members and Residents:
If you have a family member or are currently residing at Bethania Mennonite PCH or Pembina Place Mennonite PCH, you may have concerns about how a strike by MAHCP staff will affect the quality of care we are able to provide. We are writing at this time to assure you that management will be doing everything possible to maintain safe care during this difficult time. The health and safety of our residents is always the most important focus for us.
The strike will affect the Dietitian and Infection Control Associate positions at both facilities and Occupational Therapy at Bethania only. While these roles are considered essential services, the staff in these positions will be working reduced hours during this time.
The provincial government continues to work with the Union to resolve this impasse as quickly as possible. All our employees are valued members of the health care team and are crucial to our ability to deliver quality care for our Residents.
If you have any questions or concerns about the care your family member will receive during the strike, do not hesitate to email Doris Furtado at Doris.Furtado@bethania.ca
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Sincerely,
Gary J. Ledoux Doris Furtado
CEO, Bethania Group Director of Care, Bethania Group
