INFLUENZA OUTBREAK AT PEMBINA PLACE MPCH

Dear Residents and Families:

We are pleased to announce that as of Saturday, January 13, 2024, if no new suspected cases are identified that the Influenza A outbreak on third floor east will be declared over.
Due to the quick response of the nursing staff and the Resident Care Manager we were able to contain the outbreak to this unit. Also immediately starting residents who had approval to start on prophylaxis Tamiflu medication stopped the virus in its tracks.

We continue to encourage all family and other visitors still wear a mask during their entire visit, sanitize their hands before and after visiting and not visit if feeling ill.

Again, our profound thanks to all staff at Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home for their outstanding care, infection control practices and support during this outbreak.

Please keep our Residents and Staff in your thoughts and prayers.
